How Hoodcards works
What it is
A gift card shop you pay with crypto on Robinhood Chain. Pick a card, pick an amount, pay from your wallet with ETH or USDG. The gift card code appears on screen and is saved under Orders.
Paying
Your wallet sends one transaction on Robinhood Chain (chain ID 4663) to the public treasury wallet: plain ETH, or a USDG token transfer. The exact amount is locked for 15 minutes when you place the order. If your wallet is on another network, it is asked to switch automatically.
Who fulfils the cards
Orders are fulfilled automatically through our gift card partners. As soon as your payment is confirmed on-chain, the card is issued and the code is delivered, usually within seconds. Each transaction can only pay for one order.
Fees
The gift card price, plus a Hoodcards fee of 3%, plus normal Robinhood Chain network fees (fractions of a cent). Everything is shown before you confirm.
Your orders
Orders are tied to the wallet that paid. To see codes, you sign a message with that wallet. Signing proves it's you and costs nothing.
Refunds
Gift card codes can't be refunded once delivered, same as any gift card shop. If an order is paid but no code arrives within 30 minutes, contact us on X with your order ID.
